Immigration in the Netherlands
The Dutch government aims to create an attractive environment and welcomes knowledge workers and talent from abroad. The two main bodies involved in the immigration process are the Immigration and Naturalisation Service Desk (IND) and the Registration Municipal Personal Records database. (Basisregistratie personen, BRP).
The Immigration and Naturalisation Service is part of the Ministry of Security and Justice. The IND implements the immigration policy and makes decisions on residence permits.
