Introduce ILP
In recent years, many internationals have arrived in our region related to new job activities. This also means that we can expect many families with children at our schools and at childcare in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen.
Since some time, the schooling boards of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen have been talking to each other to provide an extra service for children from 2 to 16 years. The intention is to come to a successful plan reaching a guaranteed continuation, together with childcare, primary education and secondary education. As a result, a pilot has now started at two primary schools in Terneuzen where most international children are going to childcare and/or to the primary schools. The service consists of extra after-school English and Dutch language lessons. The intention is that this service will continue in the new school year and perhaps in due course an expansion may take place for other age groups.
