Information
The Netherlands is in the top 5 of the most competitive economies in the world. We have much to offer foreign entrepreneurs and investors: the accessibility by road, rail, ports and airports is excellent.
You wish to work in the Netherlands as a start-up entrepreneur. You need a residence permit for this. There are a number of general conditions that apply. For these conditions please read the following information: General Conditions
One of the requirements for obtaining a residence permit is working together with a business mentor "a facilitator".
This cooperation must be officially established in a (signed) agreement between the startup entrepreneur and the facilitator. The facilitator must have experience in guiding innovative startups. The facilitator provides the entrepreneur with a package of support tailored to the specific needs of the startup. For example, the facilitator can assist with operational management, marketing, research and investment acquisition for setting up an innovative business.
Any organisation meeting the conditions may qualify as a facilitator. The facilitator must be trusted and financially stable. The organisation cannot be in receivership or bankruptcy and may not have negative equity. The facilitator may not be closely related to the startup entrepreneur (child, parent, grandparent, uncle/aunt).
